The Sinking City 2 Sterilizer Trophy – Nightmare Locations

The Sinking City 2 Sterilizer trophy/achievement requires you to defeat three Nightmare monsters in the Hospital. One Nightmare is part of the final chapter objective, but the others are hiding in the Hospital. Let’s see where you can find these monsters!

How to Unlock The Sinking City 2 Sterilizer Trophy/Achievement

The three Nightmares in the Hospital are in the following areas:

• Gazebo.
• Maintenance Room.
• At the end of the chapter.

Nightmares have a weak point: their exposed chest cavity. The Nightmares will form a yellow blob over their heads before throwing acid at you. The preparation for this attack lasts a few seconds, giving you enough time to shoot at the blob as it forms. You can cancel the attack by shooting the yellow blob. If you cannot shoot it, avoid the acid patches on the ground.

Where To Find Three Nightmares In The Hospital

Nightmare in the Gazebo Area

You will briefly spot the Nightmare as you approach its location. Calvin will comment, saying that it’s probably just a dog. Go up the stairs and turn left to trigger a very short cutscene. The encounter will begin once the cutscene ends. Kite the Nightmare around the crates and other obstacles and don’t let it get close to you.

Nightmare in the Maintenance Room

Walk ahead slowly as the Nightmare will come from behind the corner. Shoot it as it comes towards you. If you’re fast enough, you can kill it before it gets close.

The Last Nightmare

The third Nightmare required to unlock The Sinking City 2 Sterilizer trophy/achievement is part of the story. You will encounter it during the unmissable Survive the Onslaught objective, during which you must survive three waves of enemies. The Nightmare spawns with the second enemy wave.
