Putrid Rat is another V Blood carrier that becomes available after you have completed the Blood Hunt mission
From there we can then begin searching for Putrid Rat
Putrid Rat is a level 30 mission quest that can be collected by interacting with the Blood Altar. The same way as we did to search for the Alpha Wolf
However, unlike some of the earlier V Blood bosses, the Putrid Rat may not automatically be available to track, at least not to begin with.
In order to begin tracking the Putrid Rat we will be required to complete certain requirements first. With the first task being to create a Vermin Nest.
In order to create this Vermin Nest we will have to go out and collect both Stones and Bones. Stones can be acquired by destroying stone type structures, such as gravestones found in the cemeteries. Whilst bones can be dropped by defeating skeleton type targets, which can also be found in cemeteries.
Vermin Nests allow you to lure in vermin to your castle.
From there we will then need to acquire Grave Dust
We then need to go and do a bit of fishing. The fish we need to acquire is known as the Twilight Snapper.
If you have not yet done so, make sure to create a fishing rod. We can do this by using the Woodworking Bench
The Fishing Pole requires the following materials; Plank, Copper Ingot, and Coarse Thread. You can get the Coarse Thread from the various Bandit camps such as the Bandit Trapper Camp and Bandit Logging Camp.
With the Fishing Pole now available to us our next destination is at the various different ponds. We need to catch a Twilight Snapper, which is said to be rare. So just keep travelling to the various different water ponds and hopefully we will be able to catch one.
We now need to go and collect various Fish Bones. We can create this by using The Devourer
After we have created and set up The Devourer we can then use various fish that we have managed to collect in order to get the necessary Fish Bones. If you do not have any fish then just proceed to fish for some.
Now before we can go any further we should now have the following materials; Twilight Snapper, Fish Bones, and Grave Dust. Using these materials we can then create and summon a Putrid Rat
Proceed to summon the Putrid Rat using the Vermin Nest.
Once the Putrid Rat appears we can then begin to slay it.
As you would expect from a rat. The Putrid Rat will mainly attack using its sharp claws and teeth. It also has the ability to bury itself underground and summon its own set of minions.
As we are going to be fighting within our own base, there is a good chance that there will not be much space to move around. So we will need to be careful here.
Otherwise just keep an eye on your health and we should be able to breeze through the fight.
