The game allows you to use horses as mounts. There are three ways to get a horse:

• Steal a horse from an NPC.
• Catch a wild horse.
• Buy a horse.

How to Get a Horse

There is no prerequisite to obtaining a mount. You don’t need to complete a quest or reach a certain level to unlock Where Winds Meet Mounts. The game features mechanics through which you can get your first horse.

Steal a Horse From an NPC

You might have noticed NPCs wandering about on horseback. If you get close to them, the Snatch Horse option becomes available. Simply steal the horse and run away. The NPC might try to pursue you, but they give up after a while. The stolen horse becomes yours and you can call it any time you like. During the third main quest in Chapter 1, A Horse Neighs in the Forest, you meet mounted NPCs and can also steal their horses.

Catch a Wild Horse

If horse theft is beneath you, taming a wild horse is the honorable alternative. Be wary, as catching a wild steed is far more challenging than stealing one. First of all, you need to find a place where wild horses roam free. Approach the horse from behind, you can use the Veil of Stillness Mystic Art, and activate the Capture Horse option. This will trigger a mini-game that requires you to press the directional keys according to the symbols appearing on the screen. Tamed horses are also a source of income, as you can sell them to Wen Pu in the Finesteed Hamlet.

Buy Where Winds Meet Mounts

You can buy a horse from the item shop or from horse merchants. You can find a horse merchant at the Wildmane Ranch. The game has a generous mount selection. As long as you can afford it, you can get any mount you like.
