A Free Meal Side Quest in Wuthering Waves is broken up into two parts, each containing a small story and a set of puzzles. In this guide, we’re covering how to solve the Signal Console, Induction Cells, Magnetic Cube Puzzle in A Free Meal I, and the Magnetic Puzzle and Encryption Block Puzzle in A Free Meal II.
A Free Meal I
Signal Console
To begin A Free Meal Side Quest, go to the marker south of Tiger’s Maw and speak to the Jovial Patroller, who introduces himself as Minghu. After talking to him, you’ll need to connect the circuits to help him initiate a test. Go to the Signal Console marked on your screen and decrypt it by connecting the same colors without overlapping the lines.
Red: Right 3, down 3
Green: Left 1, down 2
Blue: Right 2, down 2
Yellow: Down 1, right 3, up 4
Induction Cells In A Free Meal I
Your next objective is to find and install the induction cells to initiate the test. The boxes are marked on your screen and the cells themselves are close by. For the box on the wall by the ladder, the corresponding cell is to the left of the ladder, by the barrels. You can use the Utility Levitator to pick it up and place it in the box on the wall.
For the second cell, it is to the left of the box against the wall.
Magnetic Cube Puzzle
To solve the Magnetic Cube Puzzle, there are three cubes that you must move to the glowing plates in the center of the area.
For the first cube, hit it to the left and then down.
Go to the cube under the covering. Hit it to its left, right, up, right, down, and then left.
Go to the cube next to the crates and stand behind it. Hit it to the plate on the right, the one farther away. From there, hit it left, left, left again, forward, and then straight into the final spot.
After doing this, talk to Minghu to end the first part of the quest.
A Free Meal II
Magnetic Cube Puzzle
Talk to Minghu near the Distribution Center and follow him to his vehicle after. You pass out and wake up trapped in a cell with Minghu. You get to control an Exil to solve the Magnetic Cube Puzzle to break free. The correct dialogue options are:
- “Attack Forwards.“
- “Attack Right.“
- “Attack Forwards.“
After being set free, talk to Minghu and recover your weapons. Follow the marker through the building. You’re attacked by two patrollers dressed in red uniforms. Head to the back door once they’re defeated.
Encryption Block Puzzle In A Free Meal II
Investigate the location further by following each marker. You’ll run across more guards in red next to a prisoner. Talk to the prisoner after defeating them. You’ll need to solve the Encryption Block Puzzle.
Pick up the key on the top of the boxes. Facing the red lasers, place the key on the right side of the horizontal row closest to the lasers.
Grab the key behind the boxes. Place it on the vertical row at the top right side.
Get the key near the stairs. Place it on the long vertical row on the left side, two plates from bottom.
Pick up the key to the right of the puzzle by the bars. Place it on the lowest horizontal row of four plates, two panels from the left. Once completed, you’ll get the Set Off Fireworks Trophy.
To escape, defeat the rest of the men in red that you come across and summon the elevator.
