Armor Equipment In Ys: The Oath in Felghana
There are six (6) armors available throughout Ys: The Oath in Felghana. Your default armor at the start of the game is Leather Armor with 8 Defense. You can later buy Chain Mail, which has 16 Defense, from Cynthia in Redmont for 650 Gold.
Next up is Plate Mail, with 24 Defense, and Banded Mail with 32 Defense. Both of these can be bought from Cynthia in Redmont. The Plate Mail is 3,500 Gold and the Banded Mail is 18,000 Gold.
While exploring Valestein Castle’s east wing, you’ll find Battle Armor with 40 Defense in a chest. Lastly, the strongest armor called the Raval Armor, which has 43 Defense, is inside a chest in the Dark Shrine on Genos Island.
Weapons Equipment
There are six (6) weapons in the game. Your default weapon at the start of the game is a simple Short Sword with 20 Strength. You can buy a Long Sword with 34 Strength from Cynthia in Redmont for 800 Gold. She also sells the Banded Slayer, which has 62 Strength, for 24,000 Gold.
While exploring the Zone of Lava in the Illiburns Ruins, you’ll find a Broad Sword with 48 Strength in a chest. Located in a chest in the Dungeon of Valestein Castle is a Battle Saber with 76 Strength. Lastly, you’ll get the Brave Sword with 90 Strength from Chester before heading to Genos Island.
List Of Available Shields
Like armor and weapons, there are also six (6) shields in the game. Your default shield is a Wooden Shield with 6 Defense. You can buy a Large Shield with 18 Defense from Cynthia for 2,800 Gold or a Banded Shield with 24 Defense for 16,000 Gold.
There’s a Small Shield with 12 Defense inside a chest in the Illiburns Ruins. While exploring the West Wing of Valestein Castle, keep an eye out for a chest with a Battle Shield that has 30 Defense. You’ll get the strongest shield, the Raval Shield with 36 Defense from Adonis in exchange for the Lotus Hammer and 1,000 Raval.
Accessories List
There are five (5) accessories in the game. Some you can find while exploring and others are rewards for side quests. By doing the Helping Aida side quest and returning Bob’s Pendant, you’re rewarded with the Nightfire Gem which can help you see in the dark. You can buy the Spirit Necklace from Cynthia for 60,000 Gold. This necklace can revive you once.
The Firewyrm’s Amulet is inside a chest in the Zone of Lava. It gives you the ability to walk through shallow lava without taking damage. Next, you’ll find the Stone Shoes in a chest in the Elderm Mountains. These shoes allow you to walk across slippery surfaces, like ice or slime.
The Spirit Cape is a cape that slowly restores HP when resting. It’s located in a chest in the Illiburns Ruins. And, near the end of the game, you’ll get the Silver Chimes, which is said to guide restless souls to sleep. It’s in a chest in the Dark Shrine.
There are also three Bracelets that you’ll pick up throughout the game that are needed to progress the story. They are the Ignis Bracelet, the Ventus Bracelet, and the Terra Bracelet. Each bracelet needs either rubies, emeralds, or topazes to use.
