While there aren’t a lot of them, some side quests are only available for a certain time and, if you progress the story too far, you might miss them. Missable Side Quests That Expire In Ys: The Oath in Felghana
There are six missable quests in Redmont Town that expire if you progress too far into the story. The first one is Anya’s Hiding Spot. This one becomes available after the Tigray Quarry but it must be done before entering the Zone of Lava.
After the Zone of Lava, you can now accept the Helping Aida Side Quest. You can find Aida in her home in Redmont but make sure to do this one before entering the Clock Tower. If you head over to Valestein Castle between the Zone of Lava and Abandoned Mine dungeons, you can pick up the quest Finding Christof.
Once you’ve finished the Abandoned Mine, speak to Anya in Redmont and find her treasures before going to Elderm Mountains. In Redmont, you can also find Hugo and help him. Next, go to The Docs and do the Finding Elena side quest.
Then There Are Those That Never Expire
Luckily, there are a couple of quests that never expire. These are harder to miss but still missable if you don’t go in search of them. One such quest is Helping Antonio which becomes available after clearing the Tigray Quarry. You can find Antonio in Redmont Town, just like most of the other side quests. By completing it, you’re rewarded with Gold and a Jade Ring.
Once you have the Jade Ring and you’ve cleared the Abandoned Mine, you can do the side quests Randolph’s Ring. By completing it, you’re given the Talisman of War, a very useful artifact that extends your boost.
After you’ve cleared the Clock Tower, you can then do the side quest Helping Adonis. You’re rewarded with a Ravel Shield.
