(FF7R) Final Fantasy VII Remake : Easter Eggs & Hidden Secrets

Game Guides Uncategorized

Many games have different Easter Eggs and hidden secrets within them, many range from minor things such as strange out of the way posters and then there are some games that have some really obscure secrets and Easter Eggs like hidden costumes and such, just check out Metal Gear Solid 4 for a few rather bizarre Easter Egg secrets for one.

However, this is Final Fantasy VII here and more specifically the Final Fantasy VII Remake. So what hidden Easter Egg secrets does this little gem hold, well considering that we can only get our mitts on the playable demo right now there are a few but we can probably expect tons more when the full game finally gets released early next month.

So lets go through them shall we?..

#1 VICTORY FANFARE

In this rather nice Easter Egg we have the hard hitting Barret Wallace singing the iconic Final Fantasy victory fanfare.
The Victory Fanfare has been a staple of the Final Fantasy series for years now, even dating back to the very first Final Fantasy title and to be honest though with each game it has changed slightly, often only mere remixes with added instruments and some such.

This one we personally found out about ourselves, it was also rather humorous in a way with how we first discovered it too.
What we mean is that during our second run of the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo we decided to run solo and only use Barret whilst our spiky chocobo headed Cloud lay dead on the floor somewhere.
It was just after defeating the final wave of enemies that Barret then decided to sing this iconic theme and to be honest it fitted perfectly too, it was his victory defeating all of the monsters including the Scorpion Sentinel all on his own after all.

Want to watch our hero, lord and saviour Barret Wallace take on the entirety of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo all on his own? Then sing that iconic theme at the end for the full immersion?

#2 BANORA WHITE POSTER

The Banora White Apple also known as Dumbapple is a fruit found within a village known as Banora, this village of course is a location within Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.

However, there is also a poster relating to the same thing that can also be found at the Station during the Mako Reactor Chapter 1 segment of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

#3 Alone at Last

This one is classed as one of the discoveries that you can unlock, usually these discoveries require you to either complete a certain task and/or unlock certain areas.

For this one you needed to complete all of the Chapter 3 – Home Sweet Slum side quests, of which there are 6 of them to complete.

Once you have done that (all of them are story related) you will be tasked to go and see Merle and then Cloud and Tifa will have some quiet time and talk about all kinds of things including fashion.

As it turns out all of the main characters have hidden scenes, you can watch them all here
