As expected with any typical RPG game these days, Baldur’s Gate 3 also comes with a ton of optional side quests that you can try and complete.
One of these side quests is Save Arabella which is available whilst exploring the Druid Grove, the quest itself can be obtained whilst on Act 1 / Chapter 1
It will involve Arabella being captured by charges of theft
HOW TO UNLOCK:
- ACT (CHAPTER) UNLOCKED: Act 1 (Chapter 1)
- LOCATION: Druid Grove
- QUEST GIVER: Marricko
WALKTHROUGH:
- Travel to Druid Grove and speak to Marricko in order to get the details of the quest. (Note: Picking the She’s just a child – the druids are overreacting. I’ll talk to them will result in a Astarion Disapproval and a Gale Approval)
- Head to the nearby Sacred Pool and open the Stone Door here. It is here where you will find both Kagha and Arabella, the latter of which is being tormented by a Snake.
SAVE ARABELLA (OPTION)
- If you select the (PERSUASION) – Release her. I’ll see that she stays out of trouble option will result in Kagha letting Arabella escape without harm. It will also grant you Gale – Approval, Lae’zel – Disapproval. (You will of course need to succeed at the Die roll, reload if needed)
- Reunite with Arabella and her parents. Cherished Locket obtained. Quest end.
KILL ARABELLA (OPTION)
- Whilst speaking to Kagha try and make sure that you pick options that side with the druids and Kagha. The Snake will attack Arabella.
- Reunite with Arabella’s parents in order to inform them of what happened.
REWARDS
+ Cherished Locket – Dancing Lights (Evocation Cantrip) (If you opted to save Arabella)
JOURNAL QUEST NOTES
+ Find Arabella –
We learned that a child named Arabella is being held by the druids on charges of theft. We should check on her
+ Save Arabella –
We found Arabella in the druids’ lair. She’s being judged by Kagha, leader of the druids, and is clearly in trouble.
+ Return To Arabella’s Parents – (If you chose to save Arabella)
We managed to save Arabella, who immediately ran to her parents.
Arabella is safe – her parents are grateful for our intervention
+ Return To Arabella’s Parents – (If you chose to let Arabella die)
Kagha’s snake killed Arabella. Her parents should be informed.
We told Arabella’s parents what happened, they where devastated.
