Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Final Boss Guide

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree (DLC)

This Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Final Boss Guide covers how to defeat the Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of the DLC. Make sure you are a level 190+, have 15+ Scadutree Fragments, and have completed Thiollier and Ansbach’s questline. All these things will aid you in the battle to come.

Complete Thioller and Ansbach’s Questlines

It is very important that you complete Thioller and Ansbach’s questlines, two separate questlines, before burning the Sealing Tree. These questlines are missable and cannot be done after burning the Sealing Tree. You will be able to summon these two companions to battle with you.

There is a downside to having Thioller and Ansbach fight with you. They increase Radahn’s health, but without them as a distraction, it’s nearly impossible to land a hit on Radahn. The benefits outweigh the consequences.

Summon You Allies

The final battle is located at the Divine Gate Front Staircase site of grace. Go up the stairs to the misty doorway. At this point, summon Thiollier and Ansbach before traversing the mist. Summon your Mimic Tear after Radahn’s first attack.

How to Defeat Promised Consort Radahn

Promised Consort Radahn has two phases and will transform at half health. With the Scadutree Fragments, he will kill you in two to three hits, but without them, he can kill you in one hit. His attacks are very difficult to dodge, but he is weak to bleed damage. Double-wield two weapons that have a bleed effect. After his first attack, where he jumps, summon your Mimic Tear. While Radahn is distracted by your three allies, attack him from behind.

During the first phase, Radahn has various types of attacks.

  • Melee attacks: Dodge backward to avoid.
  • Area of Effect attacks: run sideways and dodge before he lands
  • Gravy Pull Attack: stay out of range by dodging backward.

Radahn begins the second phase with two wave attacks that do light damage. Run sideways to avoid until both waves pass. His set of attacks are still similar to the first phase, but he throws in smaller attacks and moves around constantly. Having your allies distract him is the only way you’ll have an opening to attack, otherwise you’ll be on defense the entire time.

By following these steps, you should be able to familiarize yourself with Radahn’s attack pattern and defeat him.

That’s it for the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Final Boss Guide. Need more game guides? Check these out!
