In this Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Sir Ansbach and Freyja Questline guide, we’re covering each step you need to take to complete this questline. This questline must be completed before burning the Sealing Tree. Sir Ansback can be summoned to aid you in the final battle against Promised Consort Radahn if you side with him.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Freyja’s Location
To begin the quest, talk to Freyja at the Three-Path Cross site of grace. She is standing right next to it. If she is not here then she is at the Shadow Keep on the Seventh Floor of the Storehouse. Speak with her at Three-Path Cross and exhaust all dialogue options. Head to the Seventh Floor of the Storehouse in the Shadow Keep and speak with her again. After this, you now need to find Sir Ansbach.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Sir Ansbach’s Location
Sir Ansbach is located at the Main Gate Cross site of grace. If for some reason he isn’t there, he’ll also be in the Shadow Keep Storehouse but on the First Floor. Exhaust all dialogue with him.
Find the Secret Rite Scroll
Next, you’ll need to collect the Secret Rite Scroll in the Shadow Keep Storehouse, Fourth Floor. From this site of grace, head through the doors and out onto the balcony. Turn left and go up the two flights of stairs. Follow the path straight. There is a set of stairs leading down to your left. Go down then and go through the doorway on the right. Behind the farthest bookshelf is the scroll.
Return to Sir Ansbach at the Storehouse’s First Floor and give him the scroll. He will give you a letter to give to Freyja. Go back to the Seventh Floor and give it to her, exhaust all dialogue with her, and she will give you the Golden Lion Shield.
Return to Sir Ansbach to pass along Freyja’s message. If he is already gone then proceed to the next step
Completing Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Sir Ansbach and Freyja Questline
Talk to Needle Knight Leda at the Highroad Cross site of grace. Exhaust all dialogue until she talks about Sir Ansbach. If she doesn’t talk about him, face travel and come back for her dialogue to move forward.
Return to Sir Ansback at the Storehouse First Floor. Here you will have to choose a side, Sir Ansback or Leda. If you want Sir Ansbach’s help in the final battle, side with him. Approach the gold sign to side with Sir Ansbach and the red sign to side with Leda.
