If you’re looking to build and expand your base of operations in Grounded 2, you should be ready to explore the entire map, looking for resources and raw materials that will help you do so. There’s a ton of them out there, which can make things tricky to keep track of, especially for first-timers. One of these is Silk Rope. The thing is, no matter how hard you search, you won’t find any trace of it anywhere. This is because it needs to be crafted.
Here’s how to get Silk Rope in Grounded 2.
How to Craft Silk Rope in Grounded 2
In order to craft Silk Rope in Grounded 2, you’ll need two things: Web Fiber and a Spinning Wheel.
As mentioned, Silk Rope is crafted rather than found in the wild. To make one, you’ll first need to build a Spinning Wheel. Unlock it by analyzing Web Fiber in the Resource Analyzer, then build it through the Construction Radial using 2 Acorn Tops, 4 Clay, 4 Red Ant Parts, 3 Sap, and 4 Crude Rope.

Once built, you can use one Web Fiber to craft one Silk Rope. You can queue up to five Silk Ropes at a time. Fortunately, Web Fiber isn’t really hard to get and find. Across the park, you may find some Spider Webs or Web Sacs that you can destroy. Alternatively, you can try to kill small spiderlings, Orb Weaver Spiders and basically any spider type to get Web Fibers.
What is the Grounded 2 Silk Rope used for?
We personally recommend building a Spinning Wheel and stocking up on Silk Ropes as early as possible. Silk Ropes have many uses. You’ll need them when building the Dew Collector for clean water, O.R.C. Disruption Bomb, Spider Nest, Acorn Turret, and Spider Candle. Additionally, they’re part of the materials needed for weapon and armor crafting.
