How to Make A Torch in Grounded 2

Grounded 2

In Grounded 2, you can expect yourself to travel during the dark, whether at night or inside anthills. Unfortunately, a flashlight doesn’t exist in the game. However, a torch does. The torch will serve as the only source of light in the dark, so many players will want to know how to get them. Here’s how to craft and use the Torch in Grounded 2.

How to Craft the Torch in Grounded 2?

To craft a torch, you’ll need a bunch of materials such as Dry Grass Chunk, Sap and Sprig.

Torch Grounded 2 recipe:

  • 2 Sprig
  • 1 Sap
  • 3 Dry Grass Chunk

Fortunately, these are some of the most common materials (mats) in game but it surely helps to know what you’re looking for.

Dry Grass Chunks are harvested from Dry Grass, which typically grows in the drier regions of the map where yellow, wilted grass is common. They appear as tall, tan stalks with a brittle look.

Sap meanwhile is a small orange blob that is usually attached to branches and logs. You can also harvest a bunch of these by destroying Sap Clumps, or by using Sap Collectors.

Finally, Sprigs are slender plant shoots that grow from the ground, similar to Plant Fiber. They have thin green stalks topped with a pair of small leaves.

Once you’ve collected everything you need for crafting Torches, go to the Crafting Menu, search for the Torch and tap this option

How to Use Torch in Grounded 2?

Open the inventory and place the Torch in your hotbar. It’s up to you which hotkeys you want to assign it to. When you need it, simply press the key and it will instantly appear in your hand. You can use it alongside a weapon, although this might not be possible when using dual-wielding weapons.

Unbeknownst to some, you can also use the Torch while riding a buggy or mount. Place the Torch in your hotpouch and access it while riding. Select the Torch, and now you can finally use it while mounted.

Just a quick reminder: Torches aren’t permanent. Much like weapons, a Torch has a durability meter, and when it runs out, it will break and disappear from your inventory. That’s why we highly suggest using them only when needed. You can unequip the Torch simply by pressing the hotkey again.
