One of the resources and materials you’ll need in the early game is the Dry Grass Chunk. This will allow you to craft the Torch, Roasting Spit, Plant Lamp, Plant Pallet, Stem Pallet, armors, and some consumables. They work like Grass Planks in Grounded 2, though with a few differences.
If you wanna know how to get them, here’s how to farm Dry Grass Chunk in Grounded 2.

The only way to get Dry Grass Chunk in Grounded 2
There are two ways to get Dry Grass Chunks in Grounded 2: chopping down dry grass or picking up Dry Grass Chunks from the ground.
Dry Grass Chunks are surprisingly easy to find. Just look for areas filled with grass, but instead of green, watch out for the yellow ones. Much like Grass Planks, they’re usually found in groups.

To collect them, get close and chop them down using your Level 1 Omni-Axe. Luckily, the Omni-Axe or the Omni-Tool can be used right away after grabbing it inside the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar. After that, simply pick up the Dry Grass Chunk pieces that drop.
Alternatively, you can also find Dry Grass Chunks on the ground, similar to how you gather Plant Fibers.

Where to Find Dry Grass Chunk in Grounded 2?
Luckily, Dry Grass Chunks aren’t all that scarce in Grounded 2. In fact, they’re fairly easy to track down once you know what to look for. Keep an eye out for patches of yellowish-brown stems scattered among the greener grass, and you’ll usually find what you need starting from there.

For new players, a good starting point is the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar. There are several spots in that area where Dry Grass Chunks can be found.
