Grounded 2 can get pretty grindy with the number of resources you’ll need to farm in order to build your base, upgrade your tools, or craft your armor. Some of these include Acorns, Thistle Needles, Sap, Lingonberries, Blueberries, and, of course, Clay. Clay is required for a variety of items such as Clay Foundations, Beds, Wall Mounts, Cookery stations, and other decorations.
While Clay isn’t particularly rare in Brookhollow Park, it can be surprisingly easy to overlook. Personally, I struggled to find it the first time I needed it. So, if you’re wondering how to get and farm Clay in Grounded 2, here’s a guide to the best locations.
Best ways to get Clay in Grounded 2
Clay is a reddish-brown deposit that you can bust to get pieces of it. It can easily blend in the surroundings, so be sure to look closely. You can find Clays around the area near the Snackbar, under the Picnic Table, and sometimes in anthills. My favorite spots though are puddles and flooded areas near the Snackbar Anthill.
Similar to other deposits and resources in the game, all you have to do is get near them and break them down. Note that this will require an upgrade and the use of the Omni-shovel. You can only unlock the Omni-shovel after finishing the ‘Investigate the Snackbar Anthill‘ quest, then going to a Ranger Station and submitting the necessary materials.
After destroying them, you can collect the tiny pieces and store them in your inventory. While farming for Clay, you may also notice some Gnats flying around.
This should, hopefully, solve any issues regarding finding and collecting clay in Grounded 2. As well as helping to improve and upgrade your overall gear and resources
