Hades 2 Silk and Spitefulness Prophecy and Achievement Guide
To unlock and complete the Silk and Spitefulness prophecy, Melinoe must interact with Arachne, Athena, and Hecate a number of times. It will take several runs to unlock and complete all interactions.
Learn About Arachne’s Curse
Start by improving your relationship with Arachne until you unlock the dialogue that eventually triggers the prophecy. You will meet this character in the Underworld. Interact with Arachne on every occasion and exhaust her dialogue options.
Interaction #1 – Underworld
During one of the trips to the Underworld Arachne starts talking to Melinoe about the gods.
Interaction #2 – Underworld
Melinoe continues the dialogue about the gods. Arachne will seem a bit distant and perhaps troubled by aiding the Olympians.

The conversation about the gods continues.
Interaction #4 – Underworld
It seems that Arachne has strong opinions about the gods.

Arachne starts talking about her curse.

Arachne asks Melinoe about Athena.

Arachne grows fond of Melinoe.

Melinoe asks Hecate if they can help Arachne.
Interaction #13 – Underworld
Do an Underworld run and meet Hecate as a boss. She will mention Arachne’s curse and Athena.

Talk to Hecate at the Crossroads and ask about the origin of the curse.

Melinoe reveals to Arachne that there might be a way to break the curse.

Do an Underworld world and encounter Hecate as a boss. Talk to her about Arachne before the fight.

Melinoe tries to defend Hecate when talking to Arache.

Arachne thinks it’s ready to accept her fate and move on.
Athena Interactions
Athena is the only one who can lift the curse. Increase your relationship with Athena and obtain the Gorgon Amulet.
Interaction #25 – Surface
Do a Surface run and encounter Athena as a boss. Talk to her about Arachne.
Interaction #26 – Underworld or Surface
Athena explains why she cursed Arachne.
Interaction #27 – Underworld or Surface
Athena is willing to lift the curse.
Interaction #28 – Underworld
Melinoe tells Arachne about a way to meet Athena and persuade her to break the curse.
By now, the Silk and Spitefulness prophecy should have unlocked. Make sure to have Athena’s Gorgon Amulet equipped for the next interactions.
Interaction #29 – Underworld
Speak with Arachne and witness the scene between her and Athena. You will fulfill the prophecy and unlock the achievement after this encounter. However, there are a few more interactions you can complete.

Athena has some thoughts on Arachne.
