As soon as you reach D.G. Member level 12 in Heartopia, you’ll be able to start adopting pets in the game. You can choose between a dog or a cat, and you’ll also have the freedom to pick the breed you’d like, if you’re patient. Aside from their breed, you can also determine their trait, allowing you to make a better decision before adopting them.

All Heartopia Pet Traits
The Heartopia pet traits are very much like having real life pets. They come with the same, but yet, unique personality traits. From being clingy to energetic. Each cat and dog has their own temperament before choosing the right pet for you

| Chatterbox | Pets with this trait tend to be noisier than usual, which can sometimes be a bit distracting. On the bright side, their extra chatter can help you uncover hidden items more easily. | Cat and Dog |
| Clingy | Pets that are clingy tend to stick close to you at all times. Be prepared to do some extra upkeep, as they may scratch or bite your furniture more often than usual. | Cat and Dog |
| Energetic | Pets are lively and have lots of energy. | Cat and Dog |
| Indifferent | Perfect for owners who want a laid-back, low-maintenance, and docile pet. | Cat and dog |
| Naughty | Pets can be pretty annoying as they can also damage your furniture by scratching them, or cause other troubles | Cat and dog |
