What’s a good cozy simulation game without pets? Luckily, Heartopia barely has those problems. Besides roaming animals such as bunnies, capybara and panda, you can also take care of pets that you can bring to your home.

How to Get a Cat in Heartopia
A cat is one of the two pets that can be adopted in the game, and it becomes available before dogs. However, beginners will need to wait a few days before they can adopt a cat.
Here’s what you’ll need to know and the requirements needed to unlock a pet cat in Heartopia:
- Reach Developers’ Guild member level 12
- Unlock all hobbies prior to Cat Caring (Gardening, Fishing, Cooking, Insect Catching, and Bird Watching)
- Unlock Cat Caring using a Hobby Expansion Ticket
Once you’ve met all these requirements, go to the pet shop and speak with Ms. Joan. After that, you’ll get to choose from the available cats inside the shop. The selection of cats and dogs changes every day, so if you didn’t find a cat you like, just check the shop the next day.
After choosing your cat, name them, and bring them with you! You can also buy accessories and, even, a cat bed for them.
How to Get a Dog in Heartopia
Players can get a pet dog in Heartopia through pretty much the same process as adopting a cat. Reach Developers’ Guild member level 12, unlock all hobbies, and unlock Dog Caring using a Hobby Expansion Ticket.
After unlocking Cat Caring, head back and speak with Ms. Joan again to gain permission to adopt dogs.
Once a preferred dog is selected, name them, bring it home and make sure to feed it. If your current vehicle allows for a passenger, the dog can also ride along with you
How to Feed Pets in Heartopia
In order to feed pets in Heartopia, you will have to purchase Cat Food, Dog Food and Universal Animal Food.
Once you have that in your backpack, approach your pet and tap the bowl icon to feed them.
You must feed them from time to time so that they won’t starve. But as soon as you reach Dog or Cat Caring hobby level 5, you’ll be able to purchase the automatic feeder for 30 wishing stars.
