In Heartopia, you can sow a variety of flower seeds, and much like in real life, you can crossbreed them. Crossbreeding flowers allows you to grow rare varieties that aren’t available at the gardening store.
This process can be a bit confusing, but if you want to learn how to crossbreed flowers in Heartopia, here’s a guide to get you started.
How to Unlock Flowers in Heartopia
Players must gain gardening proficiency and reach Gardening Hobby Level 3. This will unlock ‘Flower Expert,’ which grants access to flowers and crossbreeding. It will also trigger the ‘Gardening: Crossbreed’ quest.
Next, go to Blanc to access the gardening store and purchase two different types of flowers. Head back home and plant them. To plant a flower, you won’t need a planter. Initially, you can plant up to 12 flowers, but this increases as your gardening level rises.

How to Crossbreed flowers in Heartopia
When attempting to crossbreed flowers, it’s essential that the two types are planted adjacent to each other. They can be arranged in an alternating row, placed side by side, or even set in a square formation.
Once the seeds are sown, water them and wait until the next morning. When morning comes, the flowers will bloom instantly. To check if they’ve crossbred, look above them for a glowing seed floating on top. Note that there is only a chance your flowers will crossbreed. If they fail to do so, simply wait until the next day and try again.

In order to increase the chance of crossbreeding, ask your friends to water them for you.
After successfully crossbreeding them, pick up the floating seed, check your bag and plant them.
