In this Legend Of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak Hush Money Quest guide, we’re covering how to help Marcello. This is an optional side quest found in Tharbad in Chapter 3, given to you by Marcello. He deals in a “legally gray” business but is being blackmailed into paying hush money. He can’t keep working if he doesn’t pay it and he needs your help.
Beginning the Hush Money Quest In Trails Through Daybreak
The Hush Money quest can be picked up from the bulletin board in the Entertainment District. Once you have it, fast travel to the Entertainment Dist. – Entrance to begin looking for Marcello.
From your spawn point, go straight under the arch and then turn right and follow the road. Take the first right into a narrower street. Halfway up the hill is a wooden gate. Marcello is sitting behind the counter next to the gate. Speak to him and he’ll tell you more about the situation. When asked if you’d like to “Accept” or “Hold off” on the quest, select “Accept” if you’re ready to begin.
Speak to the Officers In Hush Money Quest
Now that the quest is active, your new objective is to talk to three people: Officer Vernier, Officer Kelvin, and Detective Nate.
Once the cutscene ends, turn right and follow the path. Take the first left. Officer Vernier is standing at the corner on the left side of the road.
After speaking with her, you need to find Officer Kelvin. From Officer Vernier, turn right and follow the road. Turn right, towards the police station, and speak to the officer standing next to the police car.
Next, speak to Detective Nate. He is a little way to the left of Officer Kelvin, by the food stand. He is standing there with a woman in a blue shirt.
Go to the Cultural District
After speaking with these three people, head to the Cultural District to talk to Officer Camilo. Fast travel to the Cultural District – Entrance. When you load in, follow the road until the buildings on either side come to an end. Turn right and Officer Camilo is standing by the overlook. After you’re done talking, return and talk to Marcello.
While talking to Marcello, there will be a choice prompt. Select “Officer Camilo” for 2 extra SP. After that, select “Talk to Officer Camilo.”
Your group and Marcello meet with Officer Camilo and it turns out he’s an imposter. He attacks Marcello and the game asks you, “What move should I make?”
Your first option is “Ensure the client’s safety.” Which can have an impact on your chosen alignment. This option rewards you with 2 points in law and 1 point in chaos
Your second option is “Capture the imposter.” This choice gives you 2 points in chaos and 1 point in law.
