How to Start Metaphor ReFantazio Man’s Not-So Best Friend Bounty

You can obtain the quest from any Recruitment Center. The one at the Regalith Grand Cathedral in Grand Trad is the first Recruitment Center you unlock, so you will most likely get the quest there.

To start the quest, head inside the center and interact with the receptionist to check out the available Bounties. The Man’s Not-So Best Friend side quest is one of the first. You should have access to it even if you didn’t progress that much with the story. Keep in mind to check out the Recruitment Centers after completing story missions to see what new Bounties you can undertake. You can see the bounties in any center, not just the one from Grand Trad.

After picking up the quest, you can visit the Hushed Honeybee Inn to get some insight into your task from the informant. You will find out where you need to go and intel about the enemy, the Maneater Manjula.

Where to Find the Metaphor ReFantazio Man’s Not-So Best Friend Quest Objective

The informant tells you that you need to travel to the Tradia Desert beyond the large gate. Go to Sunlumeo Street and take the exit there. The clue also contains a warning. You will encounter some dangerous beast on your way. The sandworms are challenging enemies, but you don’t have to fight them. They are hiding under the sand. If you see moving sand, make sure to steer clear of that location.

To summon the Maneater Manjula, you need to take down three packs of Hyeno dogs. They shouldn’t pose any threat. Defeat them and get ready for the main encounter.

How to Defeat the Maneater Manjula

The recommended party setup is as follows:

Protagonist: Healer Archetype with Dei and Patra.
Strohl: Warrior Archetype with Slicer and Diagonal Slash.
Hulkenberg: Knight Archetype with Jump Thrust and Knight’s Proclamation.

All characters should inherit the Mage’s Blizz.

The Maneater Manjula deals Fire and Poison attacks. Refrain from using Fire against the boss because these attacks boost the damage it deals. In the first phase of the fight, the boss uses Fire Breath. At 50% HP, it will start using Poison Needle. Counterattack them with the Healer’s Patra to get rid of the damage-over-time effect. War Cry decreases your defense and attack. Use Blizz for Ice damage and physical attacks for Strike damage.
