In Nioh 3, there are many unique aspects of the game. One of them is Spirit Veins, which are a very important feature you will discover the more you play.
Keep reading to learn what Spirit Veins are and how you can use them properly!
What Are Spirit Veins?

It is easy to spot a Spirit Vein in the game. They are glowing, golden spots on the ground. When you interact with these spots, it will summon something called a Guardian Spirit.
This Guardian Spirit is extremely useful because it will help you get past areas you initially couldn’t because the path may have been blocked or was inaccessible.
To find them on the map, they are marked as a hexagon with a star inside. They are pretty impossible to miss once you know what you are looking for!
How to Unlock and Use Spirit Veins in Nioh 3

To unlock Spirit Veins, you need to complete the first crucible, which includes defeating the boss Jakotsu Baba. Once you defeat this boss, Spirit Veins will become visible across the map and the world, enabling you to use them. Well, almost. You need to do a few things first before you are able to use them all.
Basically, some Spirit Veins in the game are locked, and some are unlocked, which means you can use them with no issue. Approach the unlocked ones and press the required buttons.
Find the specific Guardian Spirit among the unlocked ones. Until you have the Guardian Spirit, you won’t be able to unlock that specific Spirit Vein, so you can explore the blocked area.
Find these Guardian Spirits throughout the game. Once you find them, these previously locked Spirit Veins will become available, giving you a chance to check out more of the map.
Now you know what Spirit Veins are and how to unlock them!
