How to Defeat the Nioh 3 Boss Jakotsu Baba

Jakotsu Baba is the boss you will fight at the end of The Hamamatsu Incident quest. Armed with a fire snake and an ice snake, this is not an enemy that will easily go down.

Nioh 3 Jakotsu Baba Attack Patterns

The boss uses the two snakes as weapons to deliver quick and hard-hitting attacks. Luckily, these attacks come in patterns that can be recognized. The boss can use either snake to perform these moves.

Snake Slam

The boss raises the snake and slams it into the ground. You can dodge to avoid the attack or move away from the boss when you see the snake coming up.

Snake Double Swipe

The boss performs two quick swipes. Dodge both of them or move away. You can also dodge the first one and move away before the second swipe arrives.

Snake Bite

The boss pulls back the snake for a moment and sends it forward, trying to bite you. Dodge to the sides to try and avoid the incoming damage

Fire/Ice Breath

The boss does a fire or ice breath frontal attack. Move behind to avoid.

Head Slam and Swipe

The boss may also use their own head to deliver slam and swipe attacks. Deal with these attacks in the same way as with the snake attacks.

Ghost Attack

The Nioh 3 Jakotsu Baba boss spawns ghosts that travel in your direction. They don’t move too fast, so you have time to avoid them.

Staff Stab

Jakotsu Baba uses the staff to stab the ground. Prepare to dodge when you see the boss lifting the staff. The move may repeat, so be ready to deal with it a few times in a row.

Nioh 3 What Is The Best Class To Fight Jakotsu Baba Boss – Black And White

If you are playing as a Samurai, you can also block the attacks if you find it easier than dodging. As a Ninja, you can use Cicada Shell Ninjitsu to teleport behind the boss and attack from behind. Increase the Samurai’s deflect skill and the Ninja’s evade skill before the fight.

During the fight, you should stay in close range and be prepared to dodge at any time. Wait for the attack, dodge it, and then use your attacks on the boss. Use the Living Artifact when the arena goes black and white.
