Palworld can get really grindy, especially with all the materials that you need to collect to either build your base, catch new pals or to make your team stronger. The Palworld Mysterious Mushroom is one of those resources that many players aren’t sure where to get, so here’s a quick guide on where to find it.

How to Get Mysterious Mushroom in Palworld 1.0

The Mysterious Mushroom is a rare crafting material in Palworld 1.0 used for several late-game recipes, including the Shroomer Noct Saddle, Growth Acceleration Bell, and Mysterious Mushroom Juice. Unlike regular Mushrooms, this item can only be obtained in a few specific ways.

Destroy Giant Blue Mushrooms

The best way to get Palworld Mysterious Mushrooms is by chopping down blue mushrooms.

You can find these solely in the Sakurajima region, where you can also find Hardwood. Specifically, you’ll need to reach the Sakurajima – Mushroom Wetlands.

In this area, you’ll find both regular mushrooms and blue mushrooms, which are easy to spot even at night. There are plenty of mushrooms throughout the wetlands, so you’re unlikely to run out of this material. Grab an Axe or a Plasma Multicutter and chop them down. Doing so will give you Mushrooms and Mysterious Mushrooms.

Kill Shroomer Nocts

As of Palworld 1.0, only Shroomer Nocts can drop Mysterious Mushrooms when killed. Fortunately, you can also find these Pals within the Mushroom Wetlands area.

Note that you cannot get this material by killing Shroomer Pals.

How to Use Mysterious Mushrooms

Their most important use is crafting Mysterious Mushroom Juice, a consumable that greatly increases a Pal’s Work Speed for a limited time but sharply reduces its SAN. You must feed the juice directly to the Pal, as it cannot be placed inside a Feed Box.
