Pragmata Courage in Desperation is a trophy/achievement that requires you to repel the LunaDigger while progressing through the Lunum Mines. The LunaDigger is a tricky enemy, so you might have a tough time defeating it.

How to Unlock the Pragmata Courage in Desperation Trophy Achievement

To obtain the Courage in Desperation achievement, you must force the LunaDigger to retreat by dealing enough damage. Although you will face the LunaDigger as the final boss in Lunum Mines, the trophy is unlocked in one of the previous encounters. The trouble with this Pragmata trophy is that the LunaDigger doesn’t have an HP bar, so you don’t know how much damage you actually inflict. You must keep attacking the boss until it goes away.

How to Repel the LunaDigger in Lunum Mines

The Charge Piercer Attack Unit, the Impact Barrier Defense Unit, and the Stasis Net Tactical Unit are recommended for this fight, however, you can use whatever weapons you are most comfortable with. The same goes for Hacking Units. The fight isn’t too difficult, as long as you know what to do.

The Crane Control Room is the recommended area for the Pragmata Courage in Desperation trophy. The LunaDigger attacks you when you walk on the sand. Look around and notice the platforms. Those are the safe areas. The boss won’t harm you while you are on the platforms.

Walk on the sand to draw the LunaDigger’s attention. You can also use the Impact Barrier to take cover. When the boss is in range, hack it and then fire at its mouth, the weak point. Hacking also reveals other weak points.

When the boss is immobilized, you can get close to it and deal more damage. Once the boss receives enough damage, it will hide underground. Stand on a platform until the boss moves away from you. You can keep track of its location by following the yellow sparkles.

When it is away, leave the platform, and walk on the sand to get its attention. Repeat the strategy several times to force the LunaDigger to retreat. The time it takes to unlock the Pragmata Courage in Desperation trophy depends on your damage output, so make sure to bring your most powerful Attack Unit weapon.
