The “Find a way to unlock the platform” objective appears near the end of Chapter 3: Those Before Us in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. You’ll find yourself on a huge platform surrounded by lenses and a light source. Our goal is to play about with beams of light and point and direct them around a dark chamber in order to release three locks that are holding the central platform in place. How to Unlock the platform puzzle in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
After entering the mountain chamber, interact with the Receptacle in the middle of the platform. This activates the room’s light system and gives you access to the surrounding lenses.
Unlock the First Platform Lock
Stand on the central platform with the orb receptacle in front of you, then turn around. The first interactable lens can be found, located, on the platform directly opposite. Proceed and activate it and you will, now, want to aim the beam towards the circular golden coloured latch, seen on the wall opposite. Once the target lights up and the first fresco appears, the latch is unlocked.
Unlock the Second Platform Lock
In order to solve the second lock, you will need to proceed and use the exact same lens from the previous first step, but you will need to begin rotating it in the direction, away from the golden target so that it is aimed at the unlit lens that is found and located across from the room. Slowly adjust the angle until the light connects with it and the second lens starts glowing, confirming that the beam is lined up correctly.
Walk over towards the next lens and proceed to interact with it, you will want to rotate it so that it is reflecting a beam that lands on the second golden target, seen on the wall. Once you have successfully been able to target the lights, the mechanism, should then, move. This will retract the second latch holding
Use the Broken Lens for the Final Lock
The final lock is the easiest one to miss because there doesn’t seem to be another usable lens at first. From the lens that was just recently activated, there should be a dark corner which can be found across from its location. You should be able to locate a broken lens, located on the floor.
Approach it and interact with it, and Sophia and Leni will lift the damaged lens back into position together so you can use it for the final beam.
Use the lens that can be found opposite from the first lens you interacted with, from there you will want to begin rotating it until the beam connects with the newly repaired lens. Once the light connects, you will, then, want to move the previously broken lens and direct its beam to the final golden target. When the target activates, the last platform lock will release.
Lower the Platform
With a total of the three locks now having been removed, return to the Receptacle at the center of the platform and interact with it again.
The platform will, then, begin to descend and you will reach the lower parts of the mountain.Continue forward and interact with the massive door at the bottom to progress the story and move toward the end of Chapter 3: Those Before Us.
