How to Solve the Black Temple Gate Puzzle in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
Just as with other puzzles, you’ll need your key sphere, and a light source to solve this puzzle.
To get started, stand on the metal plate directly in front of the gate, as this is the spot where you’ll have access to the light source needed for the puzzle. Once you’re in position, activate the Key Sphere and turn to face the Black Temple Gate. The light from the sphere will reveal several glowing dots scattered along the vertical lines carved into the gate.
Move backward from the gate and take a look at the four pillars in front of you. Each pillar has a skull switch that you can press, and these skulls are the main part of the puzzle. To figure out the correct sequence, look back at the glowing markings revealed on the Black Temple Gate.
Solving The Pillars
Each vertical section corresponds to one of the pillars, while the number of lit dots indicates the order in which you need to press the skull switches. Simply match each pillar with its corresponding set of dots, then interact with the skulls from the lowest number to the highest to complete this part of the puzzle.
Press the skull switch on the rightmost pillar first, followed by the middle-right pillar. Next, press the leftmost pillar, then finish with the middle-left pillar.
In short, the correct order is rightmost → middle right → leftmost → middle left.
If you make a mistake and press the wrong skull, keep interacting with the remaining skull switches until Sophia comments that the combination is incorrect.
This is your cue that the sequence has reset, allowing you to start the puzzle again from the beginning. After successfully solving the puzzle, the Black Temple Gate will open and you can continue forward.
