How Saros Weapons Work
Each weapon has a set of traits. When you pick up a weapon, the game randomly chooses its traits. You can increase the number of traits by leveling up your proficiency. The alt-fire mode changes a weapon’s standard firing behavior, adding versatility to its use.
Where to Find All Weapons
Weapons are randomly found in containers across all biomes. Each weapon appears in a specific biome, however, its location is random.

What’s the Difference Between Main and Power Weapons?
The primary difference is the type of ammunition. Main weapons consume ammo clips, which you will find as drops or loot. Power weapons consume power. You charge power by soaking up blue projectiles with your shield. Certain artifacts grant you power when dealing damage, killing enemies, or taking damage. The second difference is their behavior. Main weapons deal reliable, continuous damage, while Power weapons are used for spike damage against bosses or enemy waves.
What Are Corrupted Weapons?
Each time you pick up a weapon, there’s a chance you will get its corrupted version. Corrupted weapons deal increased damage based on your corruption level. Whenever you receive damage from corrupted projectiles (yellow projectiles), corruption builds up, reducing your maximum HP. You cannot die from corruption alone, but you might die from a single shot if your HP is significantly reduced. Saros corrupted weapons deal 250% damage at full corruption. Finding and using a corrupt weapon turns you into a glass cannon. You deal high damage, but you can easily die as well.
Which Are the Best Saros Weapons?
There is no single best weapon that guarantees success in all situations. Depending on preferences and circumstances, you will find yourself using multiple weapons. Some weapons are more versatile, while others are more powerful or require a high level of skill. Here are a few recommendations based on different situations.
Smart Rifle – Beginner Friendly Weapon
This automatic assault rifle comes with a quick fire rate and auto-hit. The alt-fire mode fires homing projectiles, allowing you to deal with multiple enemies at the same time.
Eruptor Handcannon – Single-Target Damage
The Eruptor Handcannon’s alt-fire mode concentrates all bullets into a quick, charged shot.
Ricochet Handcannon – Multi-Target Damage
The Ricochet Handcannnon’s projectiles bounce off your primary target and hit nearby enemies. The alt-fire mode allows you to shoot as fast as you can.
Nova Lance and Illumine– Best Power Weapons Against Bosses
The Nova Lance’s charged shot deals more damage to weak points. The Illumine weapon deals powerful single-target damage.
