Terminator 2D No Fate Speedrunner Trophy Guide – No Cheats!

A few strategies will help you unlock the Speedrunner trophy. Do a few complete playthroughs, so you get used to the level layouts and bosses. Choose the easiest difficulty setting. Don’t attempt other achievements while doing a speed run, as it will cost you precious time. Terminator 2D No Fate is a short game and you can always replay it for other trophies. Make sure to check the timer in the upper right corner of the screen. If your time exceeds the reference timer, the recommendation is to abandon the current playthrough and start a new one.

Speedrunner Trophy – Levels 1 – 4

Level 1 – Future War

Reference Timer: Under 2 minutes.

The main strategy here is to never stop moving. You can run and shoot at the same time. Use the pipe bombs to defeat the bosses. Don’t waste them on normal enemies. Also, don’t take cover, not even during the boss fights. You don’t need to dodge the attacks from the last boss unless your HP is really low.

Level 2 – Biker Bar

Reference Timer: Under 3 minutes and 20 seconds.

In this level, you will have to punch most of the enemies twice to defeat them. Also, you cannot run. When fighting the Angry Bartender, try to avoid T-800’s grab attack. Don’t get too close to the boss. The main strategy is to connect your attacks, so you can do a few hits in a row.

Level 3 – Truck Chase

Reference Timer: Under 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

In the first two stages, get all the speed boosts and avoid the obstacles. When you reach the boss stage, hold the shoot button and be wary of the obstacles.

Level 4 – Pescadero Hospital

Reference Timer: Under 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Use the same strategy as in the Future War level. Keep running, defeating the enemies as you go. You don’t have to avoid the security cameras. Don’t hide from T-1000 when he comes out of the elevator. Rush through and reach Floor 1. Hide after the T-1000 cutscene and continue after he dashes towards the door. Speedrunner Achievement Levels 4 – 7

Level 5 – Cyberdyne HQ: Infiltration

Reference Timer: Under 8 minutes and 50 seconds.

Place the first bomb and call the elevator as you take care of the guards. Go right and place the second bomb. Exit and continue right for the third bomb. You can ignore the attacks from the robots on the ceiling. Go to the next floor and continue right. Enter the room and head left to plant the bomb. Exit and go left to find the fourth bomb location. Use the elevator and go right when you reach the upper floor. Enter the room and go left. Don’t grab the guards, instead, walk and shoot at the same time. Plant the last bomb, exit, go left, and rush towards the end of the level.

Level 6 – Freeway Chase

Reference Timer: Under 10 minutes and 25 seconds.

During the chase sequence, focus on avoiding the obstacles. In the next part, spam the shoot button. It is not necessary to take cover. Complete the next chase sequence. During the second phase of the fight, aim at the propellers. A third chase sequence will follow. There’s not much you can do, other than avoiding the obstacles. If you have less than two HP bars during the last phase, take cover.

Level 7 – Steel Mill

Reference Timer: Under 11 minutes and 45 seconds.

Run from T-1000 and shoot twice to slow him down when he comes near you. You can ignore the steam traps. Also, ignore the two NPCs on the left. Use the press to crush T-1000. Keep going and trigger the melting cutscene.

Terminator 2D No Fate Arcade Mode Level 8 – Future War: Retaliation

You now have less than four minutes to get the Terminator 2D No Fate Speedrunner trophy. The run and shoot strategy applies here as well. Defeat the enemies as you advance. Don’t turn towards the dogs. They will outrun you and get in your weapon’s firing range. Let the helicopter stay in front of you and shoot it from behind. Use pipe bombs to defeat it quickly.

Continue on your way to the next boss. Use the rest of the bombs on it. When you are on the descending platform, avoid the laser. Get the new gun and proceed towards the final boss.

Keep shooting it and don’t worry about its attacks until you have one HP bar left. Pick up the HP consumable when you are down to one bar. Avoid the blue flames by jumping over them and the purple balls by moving out of their direction.

You should have at least three HP bars for the platform phase. Stay on the middle platform and keep shooting. The purple beam takes one HP bar, but you should be fine if you’ve started this phase with three HP bars.
