Metroid Prime 4 Beyond has a variety of bosses, including the ice-based boss named Keratos. You can find this enemy over in the Quarantine Belt, located within in the Ice Belt. It is a boss that features spikes protruding from its body, giving extra protective armor from your overall blasts and damage. This particular boss also has the ability to roll around the arena floor, making it a bit more tricky to land your attacks

Defeating Keratos in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

The main thing you want to focus on during the beginning of your fight with Keratos is shooting its green eye. Which is located within the chest region of said boss. It gets revealed after removing its body plates and causing enough damage to it.

This particular ice boss also has the ability to fire various projectiles, which you will want to dodge. If you happen to get hit by these, not only can it cause you significant damage but they can also cause you to freeze in place. Thus, forcing you to mash a button in order to break free.

Once Keratos starts to get angry enough, the boss will, then, rush at you. Just get out of the way, in fact try to lure it into a wall to cause a great deal of damage to it and, further increase the chances of it loosing all of its body plates and revealing that lovely green eyed weak spot.

A few other moves that you will want to try and avoid involves seeing our target spinning across the ice arena, trying to hit you. There also is a move where Keratos summons a wall of ice and the only way to stop it is to shoot at the ice with fire shot. If it’s not shot in time, you could be sucked into a blizzard.

Finishing the Fight

Eventually, Keratos’s health will deplete, and you will eventually win the fight. The reward for defeating Keratos is a Lamorn Key Fragment and the Psychic Boost Ball.
