Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Fury Green Boss

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond has many interesting bosses and one of them is Carvex, a plant based enemy. This fight has two phases so just when you think you’ve defeated them, Carvex prepares for another round.

How to Defeat Carvex in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Carvex is found early in the game during Chapter One. Located in Fury Green in the Garden of Remembrance, you gain access to the room after solving a Control beam Puzzle.

The fight starts with Carvex being protected by it’s petals. It’ll attack you with it’s tentacles and your job is to attack them so the petals will open, revealing it’s core. First, there is only one tentacle to fight. It’ll fling itself around the area, attacking you. Shoot at the outer armor until the weak point in the middle is exposed.

Once it falls, the core will be exposed so shoot. Next, you need to fight two tentacles. To hit them at the same time, you need to use control beam.

Repeat what you did earlier. Hit the outer casing of the tentacles. Once it is exposed, use the control beam to hit the weak spot in the middle of the tentacles, avoiding all obstacles. Hit both vines at the same time after destroying the outer armor. There is a time limit on how long you have to hit them both so keep that in mind.

Finishing the Carvex Fight – Phase 2

Towards the end of the fight, you’ll be fighting three vines. It performs a spinning attack, dragging all three vines along the ground. You must keep jumping to avoid getting hit. Strip the armor off like you did previously. Once the vines are slamming down, spinning around the area use your control beam.

With the core exposed, use missiles as it’s the best choice in this fight. Before you finish it off, it’ll send out more vines on top of the three. Just keep doing what you’ve been doing and you’ll defeat Carvex.
