Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Sol Valley Scan Entry Locations Guide

Most of the scan entries are found while exploring the open areas of Sol Valley. We can also find four scans during the Flare Pool section of this chapter. While roaming around Sol Valley, don’t forget to drive into the Green Energy Crystal clusters that allow you to unlock cool rewards, such as the Legacy Suit.

If you’ve missed common Technology and Machine scans in other areas, you have the opportunity to acquire them in Sol Valley. You will visit these locations as part of the main objective, so don’t worry about missing the following scans:

• Psychic Boost Rail and Psychic Platform at the Ice Belt entrance.
• Scout Bot, Vi-O-La Spinner, and Psy-Bot Soldier at the Volt Forge entrance.
• Save Station to the left of the Chrono Tower entrance.
• Lamorn Magnetic Track at the Great Mines entrance.
• Grapple Point in eastern Sol Valley.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Scan Entries in the Open Areas of Sol Valley

Some of the scan entries in Sol Valley include Polaleisoarala, Kyuveria, Sand Shren, Marauder and Gullbat

Scan Entry 1 – Polaleisoarala

From the Sol Valley entrance, head slightly left and look up to see the Polaleisoarala birds.

Scan Entry 2 – Kyuveria

The Kyuveria plant grows in the sand and resembles a pod. Drive through these plants to get a speed boost.

Scan Entry 3 – Sand Shren

Head east towards the main objective and scan the Sand Shren before activating the Vi-O-La tunnel.

Scan Entry 4 – Marauder

The Marauder is near the Sand Shren’s location.

Scan Entry 5 – Gullbat

After completing the Flare Pool section, return to Sol Valley and scan the Gullbat on your way to the main objective.

Scan Entry 6 – Sand Griever

After you acquire the Missile Expansion at the Galactic Federation Debris Site in northern Sol Valley, the Sand Griever will jump out of the sand and attack you.

Scan Entry 7 – Varmis

Varmis is a mini-boss you will encounter in eastern Sol Valley. You will pursue and fight the Varmis when retrieving the Mech Parts.

Scan Entry 8 – Aeronaut

The Aeronaut appears in random spots as you explore Sol Valley.

Scan Entries Found in Shrines and During the Flare Pool Section

Over in the Pool Section you can find more scan entries such as Swam Flyer, Heatstrap, Vaernan, Pyremite and the Neo Rootspur

Flare Pool Scan Entry 9 – Swam Flyer

As you enter the Flare Pool area, scan the Swarm Flyer after the short cutscene.

Flare Pool Scan Entry 10 – Heatstrap

Take a look at the wall and notice the Heatstrap creature.

Flare Pool Scan Entry 11 – Vaernan

Turn your attention towards the ground and spot a small creature called Vaernan.

Flare Pool Scan Entry 12 – Pyremite

Complete the next section and arrive at the Scrapyard. As you proceed towards the machine, the Pyremite will make an appearance.

Falling Labyrinth Shrine Scan Entry 13 – Sand Crawler

The Sand Crawler is found on the walls in the main Falling Labyrinth Shrine chamber.

Floating Path Shrine Scan Entry 14 – Neo Rootspur

As you explore the Floating Path Shrine in southern Sol Valley, you can get the Sol Valley Scan Entry for the Neo Rootspur.
