Sylux is the main Metroid Prime 4 Beyond boss. You’ve faced him two times already throughout the game and now it’s time for the showdown atop Chrono Tower.
Let’s see what you must do to defeat him for good!
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Sylux Boss Guide
Once you collect all Teleporter Keys and reach the Chrono Tower Pinnacle, a cutscene will introduce the final fight. The encounter has three phases, two main stages and an intermission.
Phase 1
Four companions come to your aid during Phase 1. Pay attention to what they are saying, as they will reveal clues on how to bring Sylux down. Notice the three arms and their glowing ends. You cannot damage the boss while the arms are active, so your main objective is to disable them.

Shoot the green orbs at the end of each arm. After dealing enough damage, use the lasso to pull off the arm. Tore off all three arms and the boss will become vulnerable until his arms grow back. Use this window to deal massive damage. Use the Revised Lock-On Free Aim setting if you are having troubles targeting the arms and the boss.

After a while, Sylux regenerates his arms. Notice the dragon heads at the end of each arm. You can shoot them for HP and ammo. Dodge the lasers and the fire pools on the floor. When a head starts to glow, watch out as it will lunge towards you. Eventually, the three arms will merge and do a circular swipe attack that you can dodge with a double jump. After this attack, the three arms return to normal. Deal with them as you did in the beginning.

The second time the arms grow back, they will have ice powers. Pay attention to when Sylux tries to pull Samus towards him. Move back when you see the boss trying to pull you in. Dodge the ice projectiles to avoid being frozen in place.

When the boss switches to thunder form, move out of the AOE circles. Don’t forget that you can heal your companions during Phase 1. Press X and hold L to restore their HP.
Phase 2 – Intermission

At around 50% HP, a cutscene plays and the intermission begins. It is a short stage, during which you need to dodge elemental attacks. Simply move in the opposite direction. Keep shooting at the boss. The intermission doesn’t last for too long.
Sylux Phase 3
In the last phase, you will face Sylux alone. He performs many dangerous attacks, including several moves from the previous encounters.

One such move is the shockwave. Here you will see a bright green wave of energy heading in your direction. You will want to double jump to avoid it

Another attack you will want to avoid is the green energy beam. In order to try and avoid this you will want to instantly switch into morph ball form

Sylux is also capable of dealing a huge electrical attack in your direction. Getting hit by it will inflict a lot of damage. You can avoid it by moving around in the opposite direction

The Sylux boss also has a lunging attack. Where it will literally lunge towards you in hopes of causing further issues and problems. Jump when this happens to try and avoid it

Sylux enters morph ball form and lunges at Samus. If this attack connects, you will lose an Energy Tank. You can get it back by smashing into the boss in morph ball form.

When the screen starts to turn dark and purple coloured you can counter this next move by switching and using a Control Beam
