Where to Find All Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Energy Tank Upgrades
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond allows you to permanently increase the HP bar by collecting energy tank upgrades. To find all 14 energy tanks, you need to explore all game regions:
- Galactic Federation UTC Research Center – 1 energy tank.
- Fury Green – 2 energy tanks.
- Volt Forge – 2 energy tanks.
- Ice Belt – 2 energy tanks.
- Sol Valley – 3 energy tanks.
- Flare Pool – 2 energy tanks.
- The Great Mines – 2 energy tanks.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Energy Tank Locations 1 – 7
Energy Tank 1 – Galactic Federation UTC Research Center
The first one is automatically collected during a main objective. It’s impossible to miss, so don’t worry about it.
Energy Tank 2 – Fury Green, Cliffside Gate
The second energy tank is also unmissable.
Energy Tank 3 – Volt Forge, Tower 2 Archives
It simply lies out there in the open, waiting for Samus to grab it.
Energy Tank 4 – Ice Belt, Power Generator Power Station
Interact with the pedestal and go down the ramp. Fire a missile at the obstacle and enter the morph ball space. Make your way through, avoiding the electricity beams, and collect the HP upgrade.
Energy Tank 5 – Sol Valley, Ladder of Thought Shrine
Enter the morph ball tunnel and find the energy tank at its end.
Energy Tank 6 – Flare Pool, Storage Room
Follow the pattern to unlock the psychic container.
Energy Tank 7 – Volt Forge, Tower 1 Power Core
This Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Energy Tank is not hidden, so go ahead and collect it.
Metroid Prime HP Upgrade Locations 8 – 14
Energy Tank 8 – Fury Green, Sacred Flame Ceremony
Pull the three ceiling structures all the way down and turn them to point towards the middle. Use Thunder Shot to activate all three. The statue will open, revealing the hidden energy tank.
Energy Tank 9 – Sol Valley, Ring of Thunder Shrine
Lower the panel on the back of the Ring of Thunder Shrine.
Energy Tank 10 – Sol Valley, Volt Forge Entrance
Shoot the lock with Thunder Shot to open it.
Energy Tank 11 – Ice Belt, Medical Bays Ice Canyon
Activate the grapple points and use them to reach the platform.
Energy Tank 12 – The Great Mines, Main Shaft Level 2
Activate the psychic platforms and use them to reach the Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Energy Tank location.
Energy Tank 13 – The Great Mines, Main Nest Tunnel
Use a power bomb to destroy the rock wall. Clear the webbing with a Fire Shot, enter the morph ball tunnel, and complete the platformer section.
Energy Tank 14 – Flare Pool, Volcano Heart
As you approach the location, a Swim Snatcher grabs the energy tank and runs away. Pursue the Swim Snatcher across the lava and shoot it a couple of times to defeat it and collect the last energy tank.
