Terminator 2D No Fate Man’s Best Friend is a trophy achievement that requires you to complete Story Mode without killing any dogs. Dog enemies appear in a few levels and you must avoid defeating them.

Terminator 2D No Fate Man’s Best Friend Trophy Guide
The Man’s Best Friend achievement can be completed on Story Mode on any difficulty setting. Start a new Story Mode playthrough and select the Easy Money difficulty option. Terminator 2D No Fate dog enemies appear in three levels.
How to Avoid Killing Dogs in Story Mode Levels
If you happen to kill a dog, you need to restart the game from Level 1. Simply restarting the current level doesn’t work. So you will need to restart the challenge from scratch. Also, you unlock the Terminator 2D No Fate Man’s Best Friend achievement after killing the last boss, so you must do a full playthrough. Here are the levels in which you will encounter dogs.
Level 2 Cyberdyne Research
You will run into dogs on your way to the Cyberdyne Research building. The dogs in this level are easy to avoid. Simply slide under them when they jump towards Sarah. Their attacks take one HP bar, so they don’t do that much damage.
Level 5 Future War Resistance
Robots or otherwise, dogs are still man’s best friend. In this level, you must avoid killing the robotic dogs. Let them run past you and focus on the terminator enemies instead
Level 12 Future War Retaliation
Sparing the dogs in the Future War Retaliation level is tricky because they can get caught in the crossfire. They tend to outrun you and that’s when you can shoot them by accident. Don’t shoot if you have a dog in front of you. Outrun them and they will eventually give up the chase. The Man’s Best Friend trophy should pop up after you defeat the final boss.
