The First Berserker: Khazan Respec Skills and Stats

The character progression system is based on skills and stats. The skill tree dictates Khazan’s combat style, while stats make him more powerful. Should you want to alter your character’s behavior, you can get your points back and redistribute them.

How to Change Skills

The skill reset system couldn’t be simpler. You can change your skills on the fly directly from the Skill Tree menu. It is possible to reset the entire Skill Tree or to choose which skill points to get back. You don’t need to use a certain item or be in a specific place to do this.

Just open the Skill Tree menu and use the Unlearn option to reset a skill or the Reset All option to reconfigure all the skills. This is a great option, as it allows you to experiment with different combat styles and to change your skills depending on the situation.

How to Reset Stats

You define the character’s build when choosing which stats (attributes) to upgrade. The game allows you to reset your build and configure your character in another way, but you will need a special item. The item in question is the Primeval Regression Orb.

There are three ways to obtain Primeval Regression Orbs:

• You can find them through exploration.
• Buy them from the Bard for 10000 gold a piece.
• Craft them at the Blacksmith.

In the beginning, the easiest way to obtain orbs is to buy them. You will find the traveling merchant in several locations throughout the game. The first time you meet him is in the Embars Ruins. As you unlock more game areas, you will encounter him in the Skoffa Cave, Rephalan Mountains, Rovelion Imperial Theater, and Capital City Vitalon.

If you wish to craft them, you can do so after getting the Tome of Regression material from Daphorna’s Codex challenge which is available later in the game. To craft one orb, you will need two Transmutation Mists, 10 Transmutation Shards, and 2000 gold.

Once you have an orb, use it to reset your stats to their base level. Go to a Blade Nexus and choose the Upgrade Stats option to redistribute the points.
