The First Berserker: Khazan Ilyna Guide – How To Unlock The Tragedy of Pell Los Trophy

The First Berserker: Khazan Ilyna is the 13^th boss. You will encounter her during the main quest, Strange Melody. Defeating the princess unlocks The Tragedy of Pell Los trophy. Let’s see what you must do to kill her and earn the achievement!

The First Berserker: Khazan Ilyna – How to Defeat the Princess

Princess Ilyna is a hybrid sword fighter/spellcaster. She uses the rapier for quick and long combos, which can number as many as 10 moves. The fight has three phases.

The First Berserker: Khazan Ilyna – Phase 1

The fight starts rather easy. The boss will attack with the rapier most of the time. She doesn’t do a lot of damage, so you can take a hit or two. The recommendation is to perfect guard these hits for maximum damage, but you can also block her moves. She moves very fast, so try to keep up and don’t take unnecessary damage.

Phase 2

Phase 2 begins when the boss reaches 60% HP. This phase is more challenging, as the boss will start using spells. You will notice that she now has a barrier that prevents you from staggering her. With enough damage, you can break it but don’t make a priority out of it. Instead, focus on dodging her many magic attacks, and hit her during the recovery moments.

In Phase, 2 Ilyna uses the following attacks:

• Purple Orbs.
• Exploding AOE Attack.
• Projectile Attacks.

Purple Orbs

The boss summons purple orbs that travel fast across the arena. Don’t stand in their way. She will cast this spell twice, so dodge the first wave and prepare for a second one.

Exploding AOE Attack

The boss places a magic puddle under your feet that explodes after a short while. Get out of it fast to avoid taking damage. She will perform this attack twice in a row.

Projectile Attacks

This attack can take many forms. She summons purple projectiles and throws them at you. Make sure to get out of the way.

Phase 3

Phase 3 begins when the boss loses the barrier and recovers her stamina. She will also start using her rapier again. Her attacks are more damaging in this phase. If you are having a hard time parrying, use dodge.

In Phase 3, Ilyna uses the following attacks:

• Thrust Attack.
• Rapier Lunge Attack.

Thrust Attack

The boss does three quick thrusts, which leave a purple trail. Dodge them all, as they inflict a lot of damage.

Rapier Lunge Attack

Ilyna lunges at you with the rapier. She is very fast during this attack, but it’s possible to dodge.
