The First Berserker: Khazan Hismar is the 14th boss. You will face him during the main quest, Fall of the Empire. Defeating this mighty enemy unlocks Hismar the Berserk Dragon trophy. Let’s see what you must do to kill him and earn the achievement!
The First Berserker: Khazan Hismar – How to Defeat the Dragon
Hismar has high defense and a lot of stamina. This is an endurance fight, so don’t expect to finish it quickly. The fight has two phases.
The First Berserker: Khazan Hismar – Phase 1
During the first phase, the boss uses a combination of ground and aerial attacks. Your priority is to avoid damage and hit him when he brings his head down. While you can also hit his legs, you shouldn’t bother doing so, as the damage is quite minimal. The boss does a lot of damage. The recommendation is to parry the attacks, but dodging will also work.
In Phase 1, Hismar uses the following attacks:
- Slam Attack.
- Claw Combo Attack.
- Laser Attack.
Slam Attack
Hismar does ground slams and aerial slams. After the attack, his head will be on the ground for a while. Take advantage of this opportunity and hit the boss with everything you have. As the boss recovers from the slam attack, he will do an explosion. This seems to happen faster after an aerial slam.
Claw Combo Attack
The boss uses his claws to perform a series of quick slashes, ending with a slam. This devastating attack can kill you. Avoid it by parrying or dodging. Should you manage to parry the last hit in the combo, you can deal massive damage.
Laser Attack
The boss shoots a laser beam from his mouth twice. Move to the sides to dodge and get close to him to land some hits.
Phase 2
The second phase begins once the boss reaches 50% HP. There will be some explosions during the transition. You should avoid them. As soon as the transition ends and Phase 2 starts, the boss goes in the air and does a breath attack, which you can avoid by not standing in the way.
In Phase 2, Hismar uses the following attacks:
- Grab Attack.
- Laser Attack.
- Smash Attack.
Grab Attack
This is one quick attack. Pay attention to the telegraph for this move, which is the boss turning his head to one side. Dodge as soon as you see him doing this.
Laser Attack
This attack is similar to the laser in Phase 1, but you will notice that the color has changed. Dodge this attack by moving from side to side.
Smash Attack
The telegraph for this attack is the boss going in the air and channeling energy. Hismar will then leap in your direction. You cannot parry this attack, so dodge instead.
