Charon’s Chains is a The First Berserker: Khazan bonus mission that requires you to obtain an item from the Vitalon Underground Passage. Completing this mission will unlock the Tool of the Netherworld trophy. Let’s see what you must do to retrieve the relic and get the trophy!
How to Start Charon’s Chains In The First Berserker: Khazan
This bonus mission becomes available after you complete the main quest Fall of the Empire.
When you are ready, use the Mission Teleport option to travel to the Vitalon Underground Passage and begin the mission.
How to Complete Charon’s Chains
During this mission, you can find one Jarling. There aren’t any other collectibles or notable loot in the area. From the starting location, take the stairs down and activate the Where Despair Echoes Blade Nexus. The Jarling is near the wall in front of the teleport point.
You can now proceed to the boss area.
How to Defeat the Netherworld Bosses
The three bosses you will fight, in this order, are:
- Netherworld Jocko.
- Netherworld Tigron.
- Netherworld Aratra.
Netherworld Jocko uses the following moves:
- Punch Attack. The boss raises one arm and performs a punch. Dodge to either side to avoid it.
- Uppercut Attack. The boss does an uppercut. Dodge to either side.
- Slam Attack. The boss slams the ground with both hands. Move back to avoid taking damage.
- Swipe Attack. The boss does a swipe using his arms. Dodge backwards.
Jocko is a powerful, but slow enemy. You have plenty of time to recognize and avoid his attacks.
Netherworld Tigron uses the following moves:
- Charge and Slash Attack. The boss charges and uses his claws to do a slash attack. Dodge backwards.
- Body Slam. The boss jumps to one side and crashes down forcefully. Move away from the boss.
- Bite Attack. The boss catches you and throws you away. Dodge backwards.
Tigron also uses Jocko’s Punch and Uppercut attacks. He is a fast enemy, so pay attention to his attacks and dodge them accordingly.
Netherworld Aratra uses the following moves:
- Venom Attack. The boss spits poison. Move away before the poison reaches you.
- Teleport and Swing Attack. The boss teleports next to you and does a swing attack. Dodge as soon as the boss is close to you.
- Back Kick Attack. The boss uses his back legs to kick you. This attack happens only when you attack from the back.
- Lunge and Bite Attack. The boss lunges and bites you. Dodge to either side to avoid it.
Aratra also uses Slam and Swing attacks similar to Jocko and Tigron. Be prepared at all times, especially when he does the Teleport attack. After Aratra is down, watch the final cutscene and talk to Daphrona to end the mission.
