The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics is a series of puzzles that are all related to side quests in Wuthering Waves. These such quests run as a series with very similar names and involve solving three puzzles each. They also relate to the nagging engineer Mizhi and a mysterious sound
The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 1
To begin the first Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics quest, go to the blue question mark southwest of the Tiger’s Maw Mine. Speak to Mizhi, an engineer who has been hearing mysterious sounds calling to him. He asks for your help.
You can then meet him at Resonance Beacon. Fast travel to this point and he’s standing down below. Mizhi tells you to strike the unordered mechanic cubes that are not in place to move them to the next base.
Puzzle 1: Strike the cube to the right, down, left, up, left, and then down. Once done, report to Mizhi to start the next one.
Puzzle 2: Strike the cube up, up, left, and then down. Report to Mizhi when you’re done.
Puzzle 3: Break the wooden box to the right of the cube and the one above the final base to clear your path. Strike the cube right, down, and then left. You’ll have to move the blue wall by interacting with the lever that was under one of the wooden boxes. Once you’ve done this, strike the cube left and then move the wall back up. Strike the box down and then right. Report back to Mizhi to complete the quest and receive your rewards.
The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 2
A mysterious contact reaches out to you and it turns out to be someone named Qingshu. Return to Resonance Beacon and find Qingshu in the same spot as Mizhi. Speak to her to begin the next set of puzzles.
Puzzle 1- There is a new feature that allows you to use a lever to switch the transparent bases. Once the base below the cube is no longer transparent, strike the cube down and left. Switch the lever again. Strike the cube up, right, down, and then right.
Puzzle 2- Hit the lever to switch the transparent bases and strike the box to the right and then down. Hit the lever again and strike the box to the right, up, left, and then up.
Puzzle 3- The lever can also be used to move the wall and switch the transparent bases. Hit the lever to change the wall’s position. Strike the cube right, up, and then hit the switch again to change the wall back. Push the cube to the left and hit the switch again, this time it’ll make the base next to the cube solid. Strike the cube to the right and hit the switch again. Strike the box up and to the right to complete the puzzle.
After completing the puzzles, investigate the abandoned mine and look for Mizhi. Destroy the glowing blue orb at the back right of the cave and you’ll be teleported to Mizhi. Interact with him and Qingshu takes him to the infirmary, where the quest ends.
The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 3
To begin the last quest, wait for Mizhi to wake up, which takes about 1 real-time day. Meet Qingshu and Mizhi at Resonance Beacon again.
Puzzle 1- Make sure to destroy all the wooden boxes so your path is clear. This set of puzzles has a new feature. There are four bases with glowing circles, two of them white and two of them blue. If the cube is pushed into these circles, it will teleport to the other base with the corresponding color. To begin, strike the cube to the left and it’ll teleport to the other base. Strike it to the left and then up. Once again, it’ll teleport to another base. Strike the cube down and then back up so it’ll teleport a third time. Strike the cube up to finish the puzzle.
Puzzle 2- Strike the cube up and it’ll teleport. Hit the lever so the middle base becomes solid. Strike the cube right and then left. It’ll go back to the same spot and teleport. Strike the cube right and it’ll teleport. Hit the lever and then strike the cube to the left and then right so it’ll be on the correct base. Strike up and it’ll complete the puzzle.
Puzzle 3- First, hit the lever and strike the cube right and then down. It’ll teleport. Hit the lever again and strike the cube down, where it’ll teleport. Strike the cube right, and left, and it’ll teleport again, then strike up, where it’ll teleport, and then strike it up again. Strike it left, hit the lever, strike right, and then down into the final base.
To end the quest, find the chest at the marker after talking to Qingshu and Mizhi. Take the treasure and the quest will end. You’ll receive the Your Mystery, I’ll Answer trophy.
