In this guide, we’re covering Ys: The Oath in Felghana How to Defeat Zirduros. The Clockwork Cannon is another boss within the Valestein Castle dungeon. To reach it, you have to defeat the first two bosses and the hardest of them all. It’s recommended that you reach at least a Level 36 before racing this boss. Read on to learn more about Zirduros’s attack pattern and how to defeat them.
Zirduros’s Attack Pattern
Zirduros will start off the fight by leaping and landing on top of you, so get ready to dodge! As it walks, it’ll leave bombs littered on the ground which will explode if you come in contact with them. It’ll follow up its first attack by shooting missiles up into the air. They quickly come back down, so keep moving.
Zirduros will then use the turret on its back to fire at you. The turret will spin in a circle, so stay behind it. It’ll quickly follow up by shooting four missiles that will follow you for a few seconds before exploding. Zirduros will also slam its tail on the ground throughout the fight, littering the ground with more bombs.
How to Defeat Zirduros
To defeat Zirduros, make sure to upgrade all your armor before the fight and reach at least Level 36. Ensure you have enough Topazes since the Terra Bracelet will be useful in this fight. The Talisman of War, which extends Boost Mode, is also useful.
During the fight, aim for Zirduros’s tail. It’s the only part of the body that will take any damage. This can be super hard because Zirduros’s attacks are pretty much endless. The Terra Bracelet will come in handy, helping you move quickly to get behind Zirduros while also negating attacks. Use Double Boost to heal. The key to winning this fight is staying on your toes and being aggressive.
