In this Ys: The Oath in Felghana Valestein Castle Guide, we’re walking you through one of the many dungeons in the game. Valestein Castle is one of the last dungeons and it features three unique bosses: Death Faleon, Zellfel Zam Schultiger, and Zirduros. Zirduros is one of the most difficult dungeon bosses that you’ll face in the game. Make sure you’re a Level 35 before doing this dungeon. Read on to learn more about Valestein Castle.
Get the Ivory Key In Valestein Castle – Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Once you enter Valestein Castle, head for the lower door inside. There are spikes and enemies in the next room that you’ll have to fight and avoid before moving on. Keep to the main path and you’ll eventually come across a path covered in ice. To get across, use the Stone Shoes and avoid the spiked balls along the way.
Ascend a spiral staircase, using double jump to get over the holes in your path. At the very top, you’ll run into Count McGuire’s wife and children. Speak to them and they’ll give you the Ivory Key, which you can use later. Descend the staircase and take the path on the left.
The East Wing
As you travel through the East Wing, you’ll have to fight enemies and avoid falling off the platforms, which will make you restart the level. Once you’ve explored this area, make sure to upgrade your weapons and armor because you’ll end up facing the first boss, Death Faleon, here. After Death Faleon is defeated, you’re rewarded with an Organ Pipe.
Exploring The West Wing In Valestein Castle
Once Death Faleon is defeated, previously locked doors will open. Return to the spiral staircase and take the path on the right side. This will take you to the West Wing. When you reach a courtyard, go left and continue through the next area. You’ll come across a room with staircases and two doors. Take the door on the right.
The next area is dark, so equip the Nightfire Gem to help you see. This area is littered with false platforms, so be very careful as you explore. Once you reach the other side, you’ll find a save point and the next boss, Zellfel Zam Schultiger. After Zellfel Zam Schultiger is defeated, you’re rewarded with a Holy Cross.
The Dungeon
Return to the courtyard and enter the middle building. Approach the organ in the chapel and use the quest items you’ve picked up so far (the Ivory Key, Organ Pipe, and Holy Cross). This opens a secret passage that takes you into the Dungeon, where you’ll face the final boss in the Valestein Castle, Zirduros.
