Ys The Oath In Felghana – Zone Of Lava Guide

Zone of Lava is the first dungeon in Ys the Oath in Felghana. It is a large area with two dangerous bosses. Let’s see how to get around and survive this menacing place!

Ys the Oath in Felghana Zone of Lava Walkthrough

Adol ends up in the Zone of Lava after the events in the Illburns Ruins. Keep in mind that you can go back to the ruins and grind a few more levels before starting the Zone of Lava incursion. Once you are ready, save your progress at the Travel Monument.

How to Collect the Firewyrm’s Amulet

Shortly after entering the dungeon, you will arrive at an intersection. Make a left and continue on the path up to loot the pot. Go back to the giant hole in the middle of the chamber and jump down. Make your way south and over the chasm to find a pot containing gold. Go back to the north, jump towards the left, over more chasms, to find the chest with the Firewyrm’s Amulet. Equip it to gain lava protection.

Take a plunge into the chasm and clear the area of all Mozgouz enemies. Check northwest for a pot and southwest for a chest with Raval Ore.

How to Acquire the Broadsword

Reach the next area by taking the eastern path. Go northeast when you arrive at the intersection. If you go west, you will end up below the fast travel point, so take advantage of the opportunity and save your game. Return and head west until you reach another intersection. Take the northern path, keep walking north, and then west. You will reach the chest with the Broadsword.

Return to the intersection and go south. Head west and take the stairs up to the next area.

Guilen, the First Zone of Lava Boss

Go southeast and then east. When you get to the ledges, loot the pot on the eastern side and collect the gold from the pot on the western side. Make your way south and reach the Travel Monument. Reach the next area by walking west. Head southwest and then west until you reach a dead end. Take the Ventus Bracelet from the pedestal. Return to the chamber with the pits and run from the flames to trigger the Guilen encounter.

How to Obtain the Dash Ability

After defeating the boss, return to the Travel Monument, go east, and then north. Make a right and jump on the platform. Run left and hit the Magic button – with the Ventus Bracelet equipped – as you jump to reach the other side. Collect the Emerald from the chest. Go east and take the northern path. Go east when you reach the intersection. Save your progress and continue to the next area to the east. Jump over the cliff using Wind Magic and obtain the gold from the pot. Go over the chasm and head north. When you reach the intersection, go east. Discover the fast travel point and take the eastern route when you reach the intersection. To the north, you will find a pedestal with the Brocia Serum.

You can now learn the Dash ability. Save your progress and proceed to the right for the final boss.

Gyalva, the Second Zone of Lava Boss

Defeat Gyalva and collect the Sunset Statue. Go east and then head north to exit the area. You will be back in the Illburns Ruins. Collect the Raval Ore from the chest. Jump into the chasm and make your way south to trigger the cutscene. The dungeon is complete and you will return to Redmont Town.
