In today’s guide, we’re covering Ys: The Oath in Felghana How to Defeat Gyalva. Gyalva is the final boss in the Zone of Lava. You’ll come across this boss after you defeat Chester. He’ll proceed to knock you off a cliff and you’ll fall until you reach the bottom of the ruins. There are multiple enemies in this area, but Gyalva is the most formidable. Continue on to learn how to defeat the Zone of Lava’s final boss.
Gyalva’s Attack Pattern

The first of Gyalva’s attacks are pretty simple. This boss primarily does fire attacks and it’ll start off by flying around and breathing fire or shooting a fireball at you. The fireball attack will cause the tiles on the bridge to flip, so outrun them or jump to avoid taking damage. After Gyalva has lost some HP, it’ll swoop towards you and deal a decent amount of damage if it hits you. The tiles will also flip again.
How to Defeat Gyalva

To defeat Gyalva, dodge its fire attacks and attack the boss in between. You can run around to dodge the stream of fire and time your jumps right to avoid the fireball and flipping tiles. Stay on the far right or left of the bridge to avoid its swooping attack and to avoid damage from the tiles flipping. The tiles will disappear as damage is done to them and then reappear later on. With the Ventus Bracelet, you can jump up and attack the boss with your sword. Get underneath Gyalva and time your attacks right. This bracelet also comes in handy when avoiding most of its attacks.
