In this guide, we’re covering Ys: The Oath in Felghana How to Defeat Chester Round 2. After scaling the Clock Tower, you’ll come face to face with Chester Stoddart, the Vengeful White Knight, once again. This time he has two swords and he’s even more difficult. On top of that, he’s immune to magic which means most of your bracelets are useless. It’s recommended that you reach at least Level 40 before facing this boss. Read on to learn more about Chester’s attack pattern in this round and how to defeat him.
Chester’s Attack Pattern In Round 2 Boss Fight
Chester’s attacks are very similar to when you first face him, except he is much stronger. He’ll still throw daggers at you, charge you, and attack with his sword, but he has two of them this time. Chester will also create a barrier. If you hit it, he’ll quickly counterattack and then follow up with multiple attacks. Avoid hitting the barrier since this could cause you to take a lot of damage.
Just like before, when Chester’s health is low, his speed will increase and he’ll start to teleport. Do your best to dodge these attacks, just like the first round against him.
How to Defeat Chester in the Second Face-Off
Before fighting Chester once again, make sure you’ve reached Level 40 and upgraded all your weapons and armor. It’s important to remember that, during this battle, Chester is immune to magic. This means none of your bracelets will work, but you can still use the Terra Bracelet to negate damage.
Stay close to the boss and jump over his attacks. You can follow up with a descending slash attack. Use Double Boost to restore your health throughout the battle.
