Aion 2 Which Class Is Best – All Eight Classes Explained

AION 2

In Aion 2 base game there is a total of 8 classes that you can choose from. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Some may be easier to pick and play whilst others may require more patience depending on your play style.

All Eight Classes in Aion 2

There are eight classes in total in the global base version of the Aion 2: These include; Templar, Assassin, Sorcerer, Gladiator Ranger, Spiritmaster, Cleric, and Chanter. There is a Brawler class which is technically the 9th class but it’s only available in the Korean version of the game.

Gladiator

The Gladiator is mostly a Tank role and it’s primary weapon is the Greatsword. It’s the best of both roles with it’s DPS and tanking role so if you want to play solo this is a good class to go with. This particular class excel at both PVE and PVP. It’s starting skill includes; Keen Strike, Rending Blow, Leaping Slam, Mocking Blade, Overhead Slam and Survival Stance. It tends to rely on health, constitution and strength.

Ranger

The ranger is a Physical Ranged DPS role with a bow for it’s primary weapon. This class, as you can imagine, causes damage from a distance thanks to the bow. Rangers also level up pretty fast too! Just like the Gladiator class, this particular class also does well in both PvE and PVP. The ranger starting skills include; Snipe, Tempest Shot, Snare Shot, Marking Shot, Drill Dart and Vigilant Eye. It often relies on Dexterity to increase its ranged damage and build.

Templar

The Templar class is a Tank role that uses a longsword and shield. This classes main focus is on defense. While leveling is slow, it’s a great class for beginners to use. The Templar class is rated as good in both PvE and PVP departments but is lacking compared to both Gladiator and Ranger, rated at an A for both categories. It’s starting skills include; Vicious Strike, Pummel, Poach, Shield Smite, Judgement and Enhance Health. The Templar class mostly relies on both Intelligence, Wisdom. Alongside Constituation for upgrading their abilities.

Assassin

The assassin has a burst melee DPS role that uses dual daggers. They are great at causing damage to a particular target but with multiple enemies they will be weaker. The Assassin class is regarded as exceptional in PvP but is slightly lacking in PvE. Their starting skills include; Quick Slice, Savage Roar, Shadowstrike, Ambush, Heart Gore and Heightened Sixth Sense. For class building the Assassin usually relies on Agility/Cunning and Dexterity.

Spiritmaster

The Spiritmaster class is a Magical Ranged DPS role that uses an orb. While this is another class that uses ranged attacks, it’s in the form of an orb. This can be a challenging class due to the duality of it. The Spiritmaster tends to be considered great at PvE but struggles during PvP. Whilst the class has great damage it does, unfortunately, lack in survivability. It’s starting skills include; Cold Shock, Combustion, Summon Fire Spirit, Summon Water Spirit, Jointstrike Curse and Spirit Strike. The Spiritmaster uses Intelligence and Dexterity.

Cleric

The Cleric class is a healer role that uses a mace. They don’t deal much damage but they are useful and highly necessary and vital for group adventures. Most, if not all, players will always appreciate a Cleric in their party. With the ability to keep players alive during a tough encounter. Their starting skills include; Divine Aura, Bolt, Chain Of Torment, Light Of Regeneration, Warm Benediction, Immortal Veil, Empyrean Lord’s Benediction, Empyrean Lord’s Grace, Healing Enchantment, Prayer Of Concentration, Earth’s Grace and Radiant Benediction. They rely on Wisdom/Willpower and Intelligence.

Chanter

The Chanter class is a melee support role that uses a staff. The Chanter class is rather poor in PvE and only slightly better regarded during PvP. As expected from a support class it does not offer much in the form of damage output. It’s prime focus is the class’s utility. Its a class suited for those seeking more of a challenge. The Chanter’s starting skills include; Onslaught, Incandescent Blow, Rushing Smash, Impactful Crush, Dark Crush and Blessing of Life. They focus on Power/Strength alongside Critical Hit and Combat Speed

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer class has a magical ranged DPS role and uses a spellbook. They are another class that uses ranged attacks but in the form of magic. The Sorcerer Class struggles during PvP but excels during PvE. They have high damage output but struggle on mostly everything else including Survivability. They require Intelligence and Casting Speed. With low survivability you can also add some Constitution in there too.

Overall in AION 2 The Chanter is regarded as the most difficult class to play. With Ranger arguably being the easiest.

Now go choose a class!
