Captain Sims Ending is one of the six possible Atomfall conclusions. Choosing this path will unlock the missable Operation Atomfall trophy. To get this achievement, you have to escape with Captain Sims. Let’s see what you must do to earn it!
How to Get the Captain Sims Ending and Obtain the Operation Atomfall Trophy
To get this specific ending, you must go through several steps:
- Get Captain Sims to trust you.
- Talk to Dr. Garrow.
- Retrieve the stolen Radio Part.
- Destroy Oberon.
Gain the Captain’s Trust
You meet Captain Sims in Wyndham’s Village Hall. He will ask a couple of questions and task you with finding out suspicious activities in the village.
You have two options:
- Go to the Bakery and find out that the baker’s husband is sick.
- Go to Saint Katherine’s Church and find out about the murder.
Return to Captain Sims with one of the above tips and you will gain his favors. He will then give you the next task.
Talk to Dr. Garrow
The next quest sends you to SkethermoorPrison to interrogate Dr. Garrow. She is a prisoner. Make your way there and talk to her. You will learn about the Signal Redirector device. Don’t free Dr. Garrow, as this may lock you out of the Captain Sims ending. Retrieve the Signal Redirector from the Security area and return to Captain Sims.
Retrieve the Radio Part
Go back to the Village Hall and speak to Sims to learn that a Radio Part was stolen. You can see the location of the quest item on your map. Make your way to the Speaking Cave. Enter the cave, make a right, then a left, and then another right. Make one more right and you will end up in a large room that leads to a small area where you find the Radio Part. Collect it and go back to the Captain.
Destroy Oberon and Unlock the Captain Sims Ending
Once you return to Captain Sims with the missing part, he will reveal the Protocol plans and your final task: to destroy Oberon. Complete the mission and return to the Village Hall, where you will find a note informing you that Captain Sims is in Skethermoor. Go meet him and tell him that you are ready to escape. This will trigger the last phase and unlock the Operation Atomfall trophy.
