Centipede Guai’s most common attack is a jump and smash technique that you can dodge to the side to avoid. It’ll leap into the air in your direction, aiming to crush you. Similarly, if you’re attacking the boss, it will jump into the air, roll, and crush you. You can avoid this attack the same way, by dodging to the side.

Next, while you’re close to it, it’ll fall on you twice in an attempt to smash you. Once again, dodge to the side. Lastly, when it reaches low health, it’ll summon multiple smaller centipedes that’ll swarm you. Move away from the boss and dodge the smaller centipedes. They’ll eventually disappear.

How to Defeat Centipede Guai

Despite its massive size, the Centipede Guai uses a similar set of attacks that primarily require you to dodge. Make sure you’ve upgraded your stamina so dodging doesn’t take so much of it. When you’re close to the boss, use Immobilize to freeze it and attack. A Pluck of Many spell will also help you deal more damage. Cloud Step, which allows you to teleport, can be really useful in this battle since it can be used to dodge the Centipede’s smash attacks. Your best window for attacks is after the Centipede Guai does a leaping attack.
