In this Black Myth: Wukong How to Defeat Guangmou guide, we’re walking you through how to defeat this Chapter 1 boss. Guangmou can be found about halfway through the first chapter in the Bamboo Grove. This boss has a really tricky technique that can be frustrating for some players. Read on to learn more about Guangmou’s attack patterns and strategies to defeat him.
Guangmou Attack Patterns
Guangmou has a total of five attacks, varying between wind attacks, poison attacks, and more. The boss will spray poison in an arc in front of him. This attack only has a short range, so the moment you see him inhaling, move back or dodge to the side. This is a common attack, along with Guangmou’s orb attack. The boss will create an arc of orbs above himself and they’ll shoot in your direction. As this is happening, the boss will teleport behind you and attack. To avoid this, dodge as the orbs come your way.
Guangmou also has two wind attacks. The boss wields a fan and he’ll wave it, creating a ball of wind that will fly your way. The wind ball is relatively slow and easy to dodge. He will also spin while under pressure, creating a burst of wind that can knock you down. Dodge when you see him raising his fan.
When the boss drops to about 50 HP, he’ll summon four snakes to fight with him. They will shoot poison at you as you’re trying to fight Guangmou. You can dodge their attacks and focus on Guangmou or kill each snake before returning your attention to the boss.
Strategies to Defeat the Boss
To defeat Guangmou, it’s best to start off the fight strong with a multitude of attacks. Utilize the Immoblize spell. When the boss reaches 50 HP, he will summon snakes. You’ll want to kill all the snakes so you don’t have to dodge their attacks and fight the boss. Once they’re out of the picture, return your focus to Guangmou.
