In this Frostpunk 2 Chapter 2 Walkthrough, we’re covering the two different routes you can take. Chapter 2 presents players with two options, they can either defeat the frost or embrace the frost. Each choice comes with its own set objectives. Read on to learn about the objectives present in this chapter and more.
Defeat the Frost In Chapter 2
By unlocking the Oil Pumps Generator Upgrade, you are choosing to defeat the frost. This upgrade gives players the ability to use unlimited deep deposits. Once that’s done, the next step is to construct Oil Pumps. You can go ahead and build the Deep Melting Drill in the Central District. Next, you have to research the Surplus Hear Injector upgrade.
Activate the Surplus Injector. This will supply New London with enough Oil to reach Heat surplus before the whiteout.
Chapter 2 – Embrace the Frost
If you unlock the Adaptive Pumps Generator Upgrade then you’ve chosen to embrace the first. This upgrade allows players to use any fuel, unlocking unlimited output in Frostland settlements.
You then have to build the Adaptive Pumps. Once you’ve done that, research Settlement Heating and Skyways. Settlement Heating gives players permanent heat to Frostland Settlements. The Skyways make it easier to move resources between settlements in a timely manner.
You then have to find an outpost within the Frostlands and upgrade it to a settlement. Continue building until you have a population of 2,000 within a settlement. Your next goal is to survive the whiteout.
Survive the Whiteout
If you’ve chosen to defeat the frost, your main focus during this part of the chapter is to find lots of resources in the Frostland to keep your city stable. If you’re embracing the frost, you need to build more settlements for more resources.
