In this Frostpunk 2 Prologue Walkthrough, we’re covering all the objectives at the start of 11 Bit Studio’s newest game. The prologue teaches players how to build basic infrastructure, stockpile food in preparation for the whiteout, and more. There are plenty of optional objectives as well, and make sure to do them for the best chance to survive the whiteout. The prologue gives you 88 weeks to prepare for the whiteout.
Frostpunk 2 Prologue Objectives
- Fight the Cold
- Frostbreak to an Oil Wagon from there Construct an Extraction District.
- Turn on the Furnace in the Dreadnought Wreak to provide Heat.
- Provide Basic Infrastructure
- Frostbreak and connect it to a Construction Wagon and from there Build an Extraction District to Provide Prefabs.
- Build 2 Housing Districts.
- Optional: Place the Housing Districts next to each other or the Furnace to reduce Heat Demand.
- Gain Access to Food
- Frostbreak to Fertile Soil.
- Build a Food District on Fertile Soil.
- Maintain Infrastructure
- Build an Extraction District on a Maintenance Wagon.
- Extract Enough Materials to Satisfy Your District’s Demand.
- Prepare for the Whiteout
- Stockpile Food to Survive the Whiteout (0/40,000).
- Optional: Instruct the Wanderers to Tighten Belts.
- Optional: Order Emergency Shifts.
- Stockpile Food to Survive the Whiteout (0/40,000).
- Keep People Warm
- Reduce Cold to Minor Cold.
- Optional: Extract enough oil to satisfy Heat Demand.
- Optional: Build enough Housing Districts to meet shelter demand.
- Reduce Cold to Minor Cold.
- Wait for the Whiteout
Tips and Tricks for Frostpunk 2’s Prologue
Here are some extra tips and tricks to help you at the start of the game:
- You can pause the game by pressing the spacebar or selecting the pause button in the top left corner.
- Prefabs are used to construct Districts and Buildings.
- Build two Food Stockpile Hubs once you have a surplus of food for a better chance at survival.
- You can turn off a district to put that workforce towards another objective.
